Easy Tortilla Wrap with Cottage Cheese/Paneer


Paneer/cottage cheese, a versatile Indian cheese made from curdled milk, takes center stage in this savory wrap. Rich in protein and calcium, paneer offers a host of health benefits, from promoting muscle growth to strengthening bones and teeth. Its creamy texture and mild flavor make it an ideal ingredient for satisfying meals.

But the benefits don't stop there. Paired with crisp vegetables, tangy sauces, and soft tortillas, paneer transforms into a masterpiece that's as delicious as it is nutritious. Whether you're packing lunch for the little ones or grabbing a quick bite on the go, these wraps are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.

Let's make lunchtime stress free with this mouthwatering meal! Ingredients:

- Tortilla wraps

- Onions, thinly sliced

- Cottage cheese/Paneer, cubed

- Turmeric powder

- Chili powder

- Grated cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)

- Coriander leaves, chopped

- Spring onions, chopped

Tahini Sauce:

  - Tahini

  - Lemon juice

  - Olive oil

  - Salt

  - Pepper

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Onions and Paneer:

   - In a pan, shallow fry thinly sliced onions until they are golden brown and caramelized. Set aside.

   - In the same pan, add a little oil if needed, then add the cubed cottage cheese or paneer. Sprinkle with a pinch of turmeric powder and chili powder. Sauté until lightly golden. Remove from heat and set aside.

2. Melt the Cheese on Tortilla:

   - Place a tortilla wrap on the pan over low heat.

   - Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the tortilla and let it melt. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning. 

3. Assemble the Tortilla:

   - Once the cheese is melted, remove the tortilla from the pan.

   - On the melted cheese, arrange the sautéed onions and paneer cubes.

   - Add a generous handful of chopped coriander leaves and spring onions on top.

4. Make the Tahini Sauce:

   - In a small bowl, mix together tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

5. Roll and Enjoy:

   - Drizzle the prepared tahini sauce over the fillings on the tortilla.

   - Tightly roll the tortilla into a wrap.

   - You can serve it whole or slice it into smaller pieces for easy eating.
