Before we dive into the recipe, let's talk about the star ingredient: mangoes! Not only are mangoes deliciously sweet and refreshing, but they're also packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, and fiber, mangoes support immune health, promote good vision, and aid digestion. Plus, their natural sweetness makes them a hit with kids and adults alike!

This mango milkshake is not just a delicious treat—it's also a nutritious option that kids will adore. Bursting with the tropical flavor of ripe mangoes, this creamy shake is sure to tantalize their taste buds and leave them asking for more. Whether enjoyed as a quick breakfast on busy mornings or a refreshing snack on hot summer days, this mango milkshake is a surefire way to put a smile on your little one's face!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes (I have used Kent mangoes from Peru) , peeled and diced

  • 2 cups cold milk

  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar or 2-3 tablespoons honey (adjust according to sweetness of mangoes and personal preference)

  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds, plus extra for garnish

  • Ice cubes (optional)

Preparation Time: 10 minutes Servings: 2-3 servings

Instructions:

  1. Start by preparing your mangoes. Peel and dice them, discarding the seeds.

  2. In a blender, add the diced mangoes, cold milk, and sugar/honey (I have not added any sweetener since the mangoes were very sweet naturally).

  3. Blend everything together until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add fewer milk or more mangoes.

  4. Once the milkshake is smooth and well-blended, add the chopped almonds to the blender.

  5. Pulse the blender a few times to incorporate the almonds into the milkshake. This will give your milkshake a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.

  6. Taste the milkshake and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar, then blend again briefly to combine.

  7. If you prefer your milkshake to be chilled, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend until they're fully incorporated.

  8. Once your milkshake reaches the desired consistency and sweetness, pour it into glasses.

  9. Garnish each glass with a sprinkle of chopped almonds for an extra crunch and visual appeal.

  10. Serve your refreshing mango milkshake immediately and enjoy!

Tip: For an extra touch of indulgence, you can also top your mango milkshake with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of honey before garnishing with chopped almonds.
