Ingredients:
- Salmon slices
- Oil
Paste ingredients:
- Handful of fresh coriander leaves
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 2 shallots, peeled
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
- 3 teaspoons oil
Instructions:
1. Grind all the paste ingredients together in a food processor or mortar and pestle until you achieve a smooth consistency.
2. Mix in 3 teaspoons of oil into the ground paste to create a flavorful marinade.
3. Generously apply the mixture onto both sides of the salmon slices, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the salmon to marinate for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator, or for an even richer flavor, marinate overnight.
4. Heat a shallow frying pan over medium heat and add a little oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
5. Once the pan is hot, carefully place the marinated salmon slices into the pan, skin side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a golden crust.
6. Serve the deliciously fragrant salmon hot off the pan, garnished with a wedge of lemon for an extra burst of citrus freshness.
Enjoy this delectable salmon dish as a main course or as part of a sumptuous seafood feast.
